help  

Neither password lookup nor reset works on a Win10 pc, the program fails with a sort of SAM error. Please help urgently.

Exactly. Windows 10 Anniversary Update has new password protection scheme in SAM. Older version of the program do not support it. Please, update to the latest actual version. Let me know if it does not work.
